Do you sew? If you do it'd be a easy job. Just have to find a fabric you like.

My white curtains came from Bed, Bath and Beyond. They are a nice heavy weight cotton. They are not lined, but we have them in east facing windows (one being an office), when we close them they filter out the sun just fine. Here are a couple of pics. I don't have a close up of them.

JCPenney has washable white black-out grommeted panels.

They are faux silk, though. Not sure what style your kitchen is but these might be good for keeping dog hair from sticking too much

Have you checked JCPenney's? They have several white grommet top panels including these, which are black out drapes. Also, you might want to consider a longer drape, because the 84" length with the grommets, might not be long enough, as it extends up a bit above the rod.

What is your budget? I have my curtains made at the village workroom in PA. I purchase the fabric and mail it to them and they make the panels. They include lining in the price. I usually have them back in two weeks or less.

They have a website where they sell silk drapes but if you call them, they will quote you a price for labor if you are sending your own fabric. You could purchase a washable cotton twill or canvas online for a reasonable price.

I just had some 95" panels made with tab tops and I think it was about $150. I used sunbrella fabric. They're perfect.
