If you are spraying the trim and then touching up nail holes with a brush or some other tool, it is likely that those touch ups will show. Also, you need to caulk all gaps in the trim and then paint the caulk. Since the nail holes all need two coats of paint, there is really no way to avoid double coating all the trim after installation which is why painting it prior to installation really doesn't save time.
