Doesn't regular eggshell acrylic cost about $44-$50? You may be able to get away with not having a mildewcide in the paint...some baths have mildew issues and some do not. Often it depends on how many teenagers are taking 40 minute hot showers and how effective your fan is and if you use the fan or not and other factors. The mildew ressistant paint is just regular paint with mildewcide added to it. You can buy packets of mildewcide and add them to your cheap paint if you like....would accomplish the same thing.

Hmmm, is BR bedroom or bathroom? In any case, nowadays, most premium interior latex paints have mildewcide in them anyway. You can chalk this up to Consumer Reports making this one of their key measures of quality - dumb isn't it?

If it's a bathroom , use an enamel(look at big lots for cheaper prices),because the latex would do well. Enamel has been used in bathrooms very well for generations. if it's a bedroom, use the inexpensive paint.
