I want to get rid of the internal brick arches and windows which currently let light between these two rooms and make them solid and more like a 'barn' and not like a Spanish hacienda. I am doing this because I am also filling in the swimming pool and making the pool room into a bedroom and so it needs privacy. The terracotta floor in the kitchen is going and will be wood and I need to repaint the kitchen and was thinking of dark grey? The red cooker has to stay. Any idea for 'oak barn' not 'hacienda' would be very welcome. But it has to be decoration rather than construction as budget is tight.
