Hi Kennat, The content that appears in the newsletters is comprised of ideabooks that have been published in the days leading up to that mailing. If you go to the Ideabooks on your app, you will find the same content, though it may not be organized the same way you saw it in the email. Hope that helps!

I see, thanks for clarifying. I just went to last week's Houzz Update email and then to the app and found the entries in the Ideabooks, after scrolling very far down.

I guess for me, not being an uber user, and therefore not seeing every entry in the Ideabooks, it makes more sense to read the email and click on what I want. But, in every instance of doing this on the iPad I get prompted each time to download the app. That gate is somewhat frustrating since oftentimes I read most of the entries. Is there a way to add a "remember my choice" so that I don't get asked every.time. to download the app? And, in the app, either add a sub nav option with "this week's update" or tag the Ideabooks with the date it appeared in an email so a user could sort by date? Tagging might be better than duplicating content on the app.

@kennat in the upcoming ios app you will be able to read the newsletter updates in the app. As Emily said, the newsletter contains ideabooks that were published on the days leading to the newsletter release, but as you've pointed out, searching for them is time consuming, so this will let you enjoy the curated newsletter experience better.

The "don't show the splash screen" preference is stored in a cookie in your browser. If it keeps showing it to you time and again you may have disabled cookies.

Another tip, if you are on ios 6, safari will show you a banner when you view an ideabook or discussion and if you tap the open button in it, the app will open and show you the same content you are currently viewing in safari. This can let you use the newsletter in the app until the full support version comes out. Just tap the link in the email, tap the open in the safari and you'll se the ideabook in the app.

@kennat the latest app in the AppStore, v5.1, lets you read the newsletters in the app. Just go to the ideabook tab and look for the newsletters entry. The app will shows you a green sash when a new newsletter is available.

What if I don't want the email to open the app? Using my iPhone, I click the links in This Week on Houzz and it used to open a new page in Safari. I liked that better because I can open the idea books that catch my interest, and view them in my browser as time allows. Is there a way to change it back?

@lifeseyephoto The setting is saved in a cookie of your browser. If you are using Safari, you can go to Setting and clear your cookie to change it back.

But I was curious that you were supposed to see a page asking you where you would like to go. You can make your choice there and choose whether remember your choice or not. Didn't you see that? Could you try it again? Thank you so much!

A new user here... I got this screen that asked view browser or app.

I accidentally clicked browser and would like to change it to open email content in the app on my iPad. Can I chnage it back somehow? Thanks!

Hi beehive54, sorry for the late reply. Can you try removing your browser cookie on your iPad?

If you are using Safari:

1. Go to your iPad settings, and click on Safari
2. You will see a line saying "Clear History and Website Data." Click on this, and follow the instruction. (This will log you out of websites you've logged in before)

If you are using Chrome:

1. Open the chrome browser
2. You will see a button which has 3 dots or lines on the browser toolbar. Click on it.
3. Select Settings.
4. Click on "Advanced" > "Privacy"
5. Click on "Clear Cookies, Site Data" and follow the instruction.

Then you should see the screen asking you how you prefer to open the link next time. Remember to uncheck the check box if you don't want the same behavior every time.
