Is it the mackeral tabby cat? I forget the commercial, but lately I've seen one with a striking silvery grey mackeral tabby. I'd love one someday, it's a really pretty/unusual coat.

The link I'm adding is a little extreme, IIRC the one in the commercial is much softer.

Oh goodness, a google search found the commercial and hilarious commentary/suggestion that the cat is tripping on LSD. The commercial is a little dreamy lol.

Yep, it's a mackerel tabby, very pretty coat. I don't think it's a breed, rather a coat coloration, hopefully someone will pop in w/more info on that. (Wikipedia says it's a coat, not a breed)

They look very similar to the Bengal cats, don't they? There is a Bengal Rescue group that is always in need.

Yes, mackerel tabby is a coat type, not a breed, and they're pretty easy to find.

That patter is called a Swirl pattern Tabby cat.
