This picture is not the greatest, but it seems to be the only one I currently have.

This is our family room sofa and the new Craigslist rug that I recently purchased. The rug ended up being much nicer and plusher in person than I was expecting, and the price and size were right. I actually quite like it in the room (the rest of the flooring is oak laminate). The room is in our walk out basement, but it is very bright and gets lots of afternoon sun.

Our house is only a few years old, and some settling cracks have occured. After they are repaired, we will need to repaint, and I think I would like to add an accent wall colour behind the sofa. The rest of the room is very open concept. There is a large window and an entry door on the wall to the right, and an espresso coloured wallunit (with requisite big tv, LOL) facing the sofa. The family room and adjacent games area are covered in a variety of sports memorabilia - dh is a huge sports nut.

Origninally, I considered a darker taupe colour. Now that the rug is in place, I have also been thinking about a dark blue, which would also be the colour of "our" team, LOL.

Any thoughts? I could take another picture or two if it would help.
