Has anyone put in an ejection system for sewage

I would like to hear from people who had to put in an ejection system to pump sewage up to the sewer line. How is it working? Any suggestions? We have the ability to go downhill with a line, though it might be challenging because of trees and their roots etc to go downhill. The other way would be to pump the sewage up to the sewer line. The architect says go down. The builder says he would like to do the ejection system that he has used them in several places without problem and it would be less expensive. So, I would like to hear from those who have an ejection systme in their home now. Thanks.

I would only install one if the other option was going to be at least several thousands of dollars more.

Anything mechanical is prone to failure. Anything electric is prone to power failures.

My experience has been that very few homeowner "emergency" situations are as bad as sewage backing up into your house.

check the code requirments very carefully for those sewage ejector systems. There are special provisions governing the installation of them. Typically they are last resort devices.

if injector system is comparable to pump grinder system, I would definitly go with the down the hill idea, in my area, you are required by code to have two pumps, you get to have twice the fun of repairing clogged pipes. grease and powdered soap cling to them like they are hugging.
Also, keep in mind, they aren't working during a power outage, unless you have a back up generator.
