I've found that half a tube will do the job, & I save the other half to use later.

My old guy Copperfield would lose the hair around the application site every single time, but he also was allergic to fleas, so...

My cat, Phoebe, has sensitive skin too and I noticed she lost hair around the area I applied the Frontline. But it is worth it to me not to have any fleas.

I would try Frontline, I prefer it anyway. You can also get a bag of diatomaceous earth (not the type for pools - it has extra additives you dont want around your house) sprinkle the DE around the corners of your basement floor where mice might cruise around. You might also want to get some mice traps since they carry some nasty diseases like Hanta Virus.

I used Cedarcide's "Best Yet" on my black Lab before she passed away because she had so many health issues I didn't want to chance chemical insecticides. She had gotten ticks and the cedarcide killed them. It is great stuff and is even safe for human babies, puppies and kittens. It is cedar oil in a carrier so it is also great for their fur. Have you tried just flea combing every single day? It works for me and my cat is indoor/outdoor. But I had to bomb the house twice when we moved in to get rid of the previous renters' fleas.
I also vacuum frequently. It probably won't do much good to kill the fleas on your cat if they can still breed off your or the mice's blood.
Bomb the house, but be careful if your cat is sensitive; maybe she can stay at a friend's for a couple of days?

i am aware of a natural holistic product that is added to your cats food to prevent fleas. it's called Fleazy

whilst I haven't tried it myself it is made by the people that make the holistic tear stain remover that I use.
