Painting Dilemma

Help!! I have a galley kitchen with crown molding painted in swiss coffee. Question....new custom cabinets are being painted a creme shade with glazing....should the crown molding in the kitchen be painted the same color as the cabinets or should I keep the crown swiss coffee because it connects to the family room, kitchen, and dining room. Thanks for your thoughts!

If the crown touches the cabinets or if it is noticeably different in undertone compared to the cabs---then paint it. Othewise, leave the Swiss Coffee alone. :)

Thank you for your response Natalie. The crown does touch the cabinets and is slightly different (you can see a slight contrast). Would it look odd to have the crown painted the creme color and then change to swiss coffee as it wraps around the family room, hallway, dining room?

Since there is a difference, I suggest painting and glazing the crown same as the cabinets. Don't worry about the slight different crown hues in adjacent rooms---chances are, you're only the one who will notice... :)
