My 11 year old cat had radioactive thyroid treatments in Dec. I noticed that when the fur began growing back in it was noticably brown against his formerly black coat. By early summer his entire coat has gone brownish--you can see tabby stripes faintly in bright light where formerly there was just a black blot with two green eyes. Sometimes it seems that his coat is not as shiny, with more dandruff and a drier fill. His 3 month bloodwork showed normal levels except for a slightly reduced potassium.

Yearly CU is next week, and I"m going to ask for a blood panel just to make sure everything is good, but was wondering if any of you have had a similiar situation. BTW, the therapy worked WONDERS. Ike is pretty much back to his 7 year old self--plays with the others, no hissy fits, no more yowling at 3 in the morning, gained his weight back etc.
