Sink accessible from two sides?

It is a little strange, I know. Has anyone a sink in the cross of a 'T' that is accessible from both sides? The kitchen side is on the left of a peninsula and the dining side is on the right. A beverage/breakfast bar needs a sink on the dining side and the range/prep zone needs a sink on the left side. I was thinking of a corner double sink under mounted in a straight cabinet. One side would angle toward the kitchen, the other side toward the BB bar. Would this work?

I'm having a tough time visualizing what you are asking.

Certainly you can turn a sink to be deeper than wide, so it spans counter depth. By choosing a lever faucet that swivels and installing it in the middle, you have access on both sides. You probably want a cabinet door on both sides.

We installed a prep sink in a corner of our island, so it is accessible from both sides maximizes the countertop run. We chose a 5-sided sink, so the inside "corner" is missing to make room for our faucet.

I like your sink and island. Our sink needs to be in the wall run as much as possible as well as accessible from both sides of the island and functional. The 90 degree counter corners probably need to be angled for better functionality and access. I don't want to loose any counter space on the peninsula.

I think the corner sink looks a little bit awkward. How about a long sink, with either a single faucet on the long side, or two faucets, one on each short end? This one comes in several lengths:

That is an interesting idea. Would it go in the window cab or on the peninsula? How easy would it be for washing veggies and dumping hot water from the cooktop?

Here is mine, the Kohler trough 22x8 inches, although too skinny for more than a few uses. I screwed 2 18 inch sink bases back to back and out the back panels for the base since my cab company did not make deeper than 30 inches. Although I could have centered the handle, I wanted the one side to have better use of it. A wider one would be great.

    How about this one...

Blanco is just one manufacturer. I think Elkay, at least, also makes one...there may be others

Buehl, I just met with my architect, and we decided to use a sink just like the Blanco. She is going to clip the cabinet corners so the sink is easy to reach from each side.

Cleo, the look of the sink is really nice. I like the accessories that are available. Thanks for the tip using 2-18'' sink bases. Food prep would be a bit of a reach.

Well, there is something like this one --- but it's a bit too large for standard depth counters.

We have a sink at the end of a U. Accessible from all three sides but in our plan it's great because it's accessible from the cooking Zone for both prep and light clean up and from the cleanup zone as an extra sink if more than one person is doing the washing up.

    Here's our floorplan:

We're thrilled with our layout. We went with form over function with the sink/DW placement in that part of the U as we didn't want to see the sink from the front door. In the perfect world we could have switched them and had the DW open facing the oven for easy cleanup from the stove/prep area. However it still works very well.
