Who and how was the gas supply to the range sized?

If there is to much pressure drop in the supply lines no regulator adjustment is going to help.

Given that the pilot and individual burners are showing signs of not enough gas flow, wouldn't it seem reasonable that this is more likely the regulator than pressure drop in the lines.

If he had said that the flames go down as you turn on more burners, I would agree with you.

What I thought. Verify correct orifice/jet for the fuel you have.

Given that standing pilot lights are no longer generally available, and are very small on the few units that use them it may not mean anything.

Without more info about the OPs level of knowledge there is not any way to say.
