You can go in a lot of different directions with what you have. An oriental style runner would look really great in there and add some color. Then again, you could go with seagrass or one of those cool graphic ones.

Are you just looking for a decorative rug or do you want one that "cushions" you while you're standing in front of the counters for any length of time? (Even wood can be hard on the feet/legs/back when standing on them for an extended time.)

Thanks for your help- I love the rug in fletchers kitchen. I think something like that will look great in mine. Buehl, I'll put up with the pain for a good look in my kitchen, so don't care about a cushion. lol
