36 inch range question?

Hi everyone,

I am new here and not so sure if this is the correct forum or not but here it goes! We are starting the remodel process and know we want a 36 inch all gas range as part of it. We have the opportunity to get the Bosch employee discount on a thermador professional range bringing the price to just under 4,000-a considerable amount off...

I am nervous because of the issues I hear with themador and reliability/customer service. Would you pay full price for a wolf or get close to half off a thermador and roll the dice? Thanks for any advice or experiences :)

Being a Bluestar owner I can't knowledgeably speak to the issues with Thermador.
If reliability and service are concerns, I'd steer clear.

Have you considered getting a Bosch range instead. A friend of mine has one and is quite pleased - probably a lot cheaper than the Thermador.

From what I've read recently, those issues are old. Thermador's newly revamped line is really good and the people that have the newer ranges and/or have dealt with CS in the past year(?) or so have been happy.

I say this because I've researched Thermador vs. Bluestar to no end. I haven't considered Wolf because Bluestar is a clear winner IMO. The reason Thermador came up was the price and the included Thermador (rebadged Bosch) DW. However, a few people I know that have gotten said DW for free have regretted doing so. They don't like it at all. So this is steering me toward BlueStar and a Kitchenaid DW. I digressed. Sorry!

No to Thermador. Over priced and over rated and don't seem to care about their customers.
