I don't have tables, and they're really not night stands, either. One is a small chest-of-drawers(4 small drawers/about 36" high), and the other is a small dresser(2 smaller drawers/3 larger/about 30" high). Both are medium to dark wood, vintage pieces, and similar in style.

It's such a personal choice when you're choosing furniture, but IMO, I think it's ok if they're not the same color wood as the bed or if one is painted and one isn't. All that matters is if you like it. ;o)
