I don't mind the color of the walls with the sofa, but the coffee table looks way too big compared to the sofa. From this angle it almost looks bigger than the sofa. I think it would either look better with a smaller coffee table or a bigger sofa.

I like it. I thinkit is fine. But if you are up to it, you could paint the wall behind it a warm grey. Grey will go with what you have.

Hi K, in my humble opinion I think you have too many good ideas. Your color palette with the purple playing off the sharp yellow-green, your natural wood/jungle-inspired items, your animal skins/prints, your touches of glamour with silver and the rolled arm sofa. May I suggest editing: relocate plants/bouquet, relocate pillows/skin/throw, relocate the items that are on your coffee table. Now your eye can more readily see the connection made by your awesome art which connects tans and greys. Perhaps paint your coffee table with silver paint. Perhaps add a black tray on said table. Your signature style would be Mod Jungle Glamour, even with all that editing. Hope you had a fun turkey day and I hope I didn't overstep my bounds. :-)

First, great looking pieces, but you have traditional, tropical/exotic, southern/southwestern (cowhide), and mix of modern...all in fairly sizable pieces. Mixing is fine in small doses, but I think here it becomes a bit confused. Editing, as insideout mentioned, is your best bet here.

I love what you have here and I would own it---take advantage and go for a saturated beautiful hue---such as this pink color. Look at the pic and note the carpet is very close to your floor/rug color---perfect for what you have with your eclectic mix of items. Go for the pink! Good Luck![houzz=]

Remove all those plants and flowers for now,and then take another photo. I think thatncoffee table is overpowering ,otherwise great pieces.

The coffee table is not as huge as it appears. The sofa is larger than the coffee table, but I am not a very good photographer and don't do well with photo angles. I was focusing more on trying to get a shot of the sofa color with the walls and with those shots, I see that the coffee table seems to look very big, but it's really not and the balance and scales actually do work when you are in the room.

Your new sofa is lovely. But I do think that the wall color and sisal rug are not setting it off as well as they might. Picking a gray from the artwork above it, or even a putty or taupe color, would work better with the sofa fabric than the tans. Love the green and purple accents!

I like the eclectic vibe of your room but would suggest some judicious editing...fewer accessories on the side table, fewer faux floral arrangements. The large vase on the coffee table in particular is too high for comfortable conversation. I don't mind the existing wall color but a taupe drawn from your floor tile might be more complementary to your new sofa. Fun room!

For such an eclectic room it seems very "squared up!" The art and table are dominating the room, and there are other square/rectangles (tile, sisal, lattice pattern, pillows and windows) continuing the theme. Even the visual pattern formed by the tufts of the sofa are playing up the squarish-ness. I'd try to break that up some. Angle the cowhide over the sisal so some of it extends under the sofa, use the big floral pillows as floor cushions, stacking one on top of the other at an angle. Try the round lattice table in place of the big blocky coffee table, 18" or less from the sofa, and add a glass top to it if there isn't one already. Lower the three art pieces to 6" above the sofa so the visual becomes a unit. Put the silk purple flowers in an opaque vase so the stems don't show and loosen the arrangement out of its tight form. Consider painting the wall behind the sofa purple - Pantone has it as a neutral on 2013's color chart. Can't tell much about your window treatment, but that is probably another place that could use some softening. Keep tweaking!

I personally love the sofa. the flowers on the coffe table are beautiful and combined with your now grey on your walls should look great.The picture above the sofa is right on, if it is 2/3 the size of the sofa. Are the pictures above the sofa three, or are they as close together as possible? I think the cowhide rug on top of the sisal rug should be moved. The sisal rug, in my opinion should be changed out to a more plush one. The coffee table is too bulky and heavy for the other featured items. Take out the rattan-wicker table and replace with a little smaller end table/tables, but not necessarly book end alikes. A lime green throw would be beautiful. Take off the brown cousions off. Maybe you could use a couple of slipper chairs to replace the bench. Slipper chairs would visually take up less space. All of these changes would be less expensive than changing a sofa which looks great anyway.
I hope you are taking all of these changes in good faith, as they are meant.

I think it is beautiful. Much more elegant than the other sofa. I do think the coffee table is a little "chunky" for the rest of the room.

Beige/pale grey and ivory could be lovely together.
I'd replace the drapes with something lighter - like color block silk in ivory and pale gray.

maybe replace the sisal rug with something more formal.

Hi Koolbeenzzzz....LOVE the sofa! The only thing that throws me off a little is the coffeetable. I think it's a little to chunky for the space with the sofa. Can you remove that table and use the round side table as your coffeetable. I've seen the side table online and love it,and I know there is a side table version and a coffeetable version...do you have the larger coffeetable size. Try it anyway. The tall jar with the bromeliad in it could be moved closer to the arm of the sofa. Maybe just a little glass and metal side table to replace the round table.

You're right . The gray sofa and dark furnishings are drab . The off-yellow walls do Not Add to the look. The light is Not right .

Brighten the look up quite a bit ! Add light first ...! ...a lot of light ! Start with the walls. A soft gold would look great in the right matching tone !!

But, LIGHT IS THE ANSWER !!!

Again, think of putting your artwork on the floor and ceiling .

The artwork on the wall does Not work . How about repeating the feel of the flooring on the wall behind the sofa , softly !!?

Lol, thank you for your feedback (@bmccoy830) but my post was a long time ago. I didn't keep that sofa even though I loved it. It just didn't match. I returned it and purchased one that matched the walls better because I didn't want to repaint. Here's are a couple of links to the outcome of my living room:
