Appliance Pulls - can RH be used?

I need to purchase my appliance pulls ASAP. I think I read on here awhile back that pulls from Restoration Hardware aren't strong enough for fridges and dishwashers. Is this true? I am really in need of something for my dishwasher. Would a RH pull, like the Gilmore, be strong enough?

The issue isn't that RH pulls, in general, aren't strong enough. The RH Aubrey pull is the one specific pull mentioned as "not strong enough" for appliances because the screws attach from the front instead of the back. I used the Aubrey exclusively in my kitchen. My cab maker had no issue at all with the pulls or their attachment method; however, I dont have paneled appliancs except on my WD, which is light-weight compared to a fridge.

I used quite a few of the largest 8" pulls. I love the size, but I would be concerned about it having enough clearance (projection) from the panel for best long-term use. I think for a lighter-weight DW that isn't opened, at least in my house, as often as the fridge an Aubrey pull would be OK. In fact, when our Kenmore special goes in a couple of years, I'm thinking I'll replace it with a paneled DW with an 8" Aubrey pull.

Bottom line, check the projection of the RH pull you like and some specifically-made appliance pulls. Good luck!

I have a paneled d/w (with no panel yet, as it's on order) which will get an 8" Ephram pull from RH. Breezy pointed out the projection to me in a previous thread of mine (thanks Breezy!), and when I went to RH I checked it out. I also preferred that the Ephram screws in from behind although I imagine the 4 screws would have been okay. I was mostly thinking about what would happen if it needed to be replaced for some reason, 4 screws would be hard to mimick..I also needed a pull that could coordinate with my undersink trash pull out - since it got a smaller version of the same pull.

The pulls I used on my paneled refrigerator and freezer are made by Atlas Hardware. They are incredibly durable and are made for such use.

I used them on my dishwasher drawers but my cabinet guy thought they were too wimpy for the fridge. Mason I think.

Some fridges (SZ comes to mind) are really tough to open.

I have the same question. Considering the RH Atellier 18 in pull for my subzero fridge.
