Curtains available

If this is inappropriate, I apologize, but I felt there might be someone here who could use these.

I have some JC Penny, tab top, 100% cotton (broadcloth, I think), country or buffalo check curtains that are black and white. I've only used one panel, which I will of course wash. I do have cats, so maybe I'll wash even the ones I didn't use.

Could anyone use them? I would be happy to send them to someone just for the postage. They're just sitting here and I won't tea dye them like I've been thinking, nor will I hang them anytime soon. I don't even have window moldings yet.

Hello!

The curtains were too few for the previous lady.

I have again available four panels of tab-topped curtains. They have an optional rod pocket.

They are 40"w x 81"h. Roughly, since the one I measured is hanging.

They're a black and white buffalo check. Those are the large checks.

If anyone could use them, I'll pop 'em in the wash and be happy to send them to someone for the cost of postage.

What a nice offer, Christine!

I wish we could have some kind of forum "exchange", similar to that on the gardening forums. I realize there's a big difference between exchanging home decor items and seeds/plants, but wouldn't it be fun if it were possible?

I give away everything on Freecycle. 8 bookshelves, recently, dresers, baskets, 360 boxes of books, and all kinds of stuff.

To me, this isn't a lot different. I want things to go where someone will use & appreciate them. So where better! I'm not shipping a dresser, though.

An exchange board could very easily be established. One of the rules, such as Freecycle, would need to be that the one who wanted it arranges & pays for the shipping. We'd need to list our area in the post, so someone in Maine doesn't think they'll just zip over to Vancouver & pick it up.

Right now I have a 1/2 assembled Tansu in my kitchen that I realized I do not even remotely have room for. I'm into a very bare look right now. Probably because I'm overwhelmed with crap all over the place from building cabinets, no closets, & no place to put anything. Nonetheless, if someone were close and didn't mind finishing the assembly....

It can be done. Just gotta put the word out. Like curtains! Hmmmm.. I have a ton of curtain rods, too.
