When you put up your first piece of wallpaper, before you cut another, match your pattern (design). It means it repeats every 25.25". You will have to adjust as you roll off your pattern match. Don't worry about the 25.25" as far as a measure. Just make sure when it is on the wall it matches straight across. In other words, don't have the petals of the flowers on the bottom of the stems. Have them as they are supposed to be or don't have the tail of the dog on its head.

Thanks, I've actually matched wallpaper before but didn't realize there was a numerical match measurement. The paper is supposed to look like random texture, I didn't realize I would have to match at all, but it makes sense, a whole random glob looks ok while a half random glob would look odd.

I am putting up grass cloth wallpaper. should the top of each panel come from top cut or does it matter if I have flipped a panel?

Real grass cloth is usually hung with every other panel reversed. If it's a vinyl wallpaper, check with manufacturer's directions. I've seen some in which each panel are hung from the top and some are recommended to have every other one reversed.
