My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
A lot of price difference if you want wireless. You can pretty much search the cost on your own. IntelliTouch is really only if you have a high end system and want to take advantage of IntelliBrite lighting features. If you are a 3.2kw VF IntelliFlo purchaser, this system is the best. If you are a VS buyer, the EasyTouch is best. If you are a simple pool/spa the SunTouch is great or any other automated control. If you are a 2 speed pump shopper, avoid the Hayward and shoot for Pentair or Jandy. They are much easier to work with.
On a parts only basis here are some comparisons.
EasyTouch 4 no wireless: $1165.00 IntelliTouch i5 no wireless: $1517.00 Jandy RS4 no wireless: $1576.00
The Intellitouch is actually the better buy as you get one extra circuit compared to the other 2.
...we will have a pool/spa with a water feature ( 3 scuppers) the main pump is a 2.5hp whisperflo with a booster pump for the scuppers. We were quoted $2400 for EasyTouch and $2500 for the Intellitouch. It seemed high for the Easytouch, so I was just trying to get an idea...and wondered if there was really only $100 difference. thanks, again
The EasyTouch price is right on. You need to make sure your $2500 is a load center if you require it and not a power center and that you're actually getting an indoor controller. Keep in mind, for $2400 you should be getting an ET8, not a 4.
