I had exactly the same thing, a faded fiberglass slide. I went to a boating store and got Interlux Brightside polyurethane for fiberglass boats. I sprayed it with a spray gun and it still looks almost new after 5 years outside,uncovered in New England weather.

Thanks furnone. I didn't even think of using a marine product, but that makes perfect sense. Unfortunately we just found out that the slide we were offered turns the wrong way, so we may end up buying a new one after all. We'll see if another one happens to turn up.
