Fiberson Clear Vision System

I've had a Fiberon Clear Vision System on a 1200 square foot deck, a small porch and a balcony over the front Portico for one year. All I can say is that it is fabulous! I used the plexi panels over an unfinished IPE deck that has weathered beautifully and looks fantastic against the white spindles and railings above the plexi. I used the square colonial posts with special stainless steel solar flat-top colonial caps that were custom-ordered through Lowe's. I also used two kind of railings: the French Pvovincial for three small sets of stais on three sides, the small porch in another area of the house and also the balcony above the Portico. On the deck itself, we used the colonial because it was flat and could hold a glass (a good thing at a big gathering).

The plexi sheds water and has only been cleaned once, at the beginning of this summer. The rails should be sponged after a heavy rainstorm which leaves streaking at times. But it looks great and we absolutely love it.

It isn't easy to work with at first...my builders used liquid soap to ease things into place. You also must be certain to leave at least two inches on either side of the plexi...something to do with wind resistance. Your best source of help is the distributor from whom you purchase it.

Good luck!
