As promised here are pictures of my 1912 Singer Treadle model 27

It will take some cleaning up. As soon as the belt I ordered comes in I will know what damage the rust has done.

If you can't tell I am really excited!!

I'd be excited, too. That looks like a wonderful machine. Boy does it bring back memories.

That's a beauty, Suellen! Reminds me of my grandmother's Singer treadle only the drawers were different. I have the drawers to her machine.

Suellen,
It looks like a great find. When I got mine from the family attic it was in pretty bad condition. I read someplace on line that WD40 was useful for cleaning old machines and I tried it. I was pleased with the results.
Just a thought. There is good information on the web if you look. Jayne

Looks pretty good for being nearly 100 years old! I bet none of today's fancy computerized sewing & embroidery machines will still be working in 2108!
