Wish I could have been there, I'd like to take a class like that. I've tried a couple of small projects, one turned out ok but the other had a lot of wrinkles in the back. I'm going to give it another shot soon though.

Hi Judy--I'd be happy to walk you through some hints and tips if you like. One trick you can try to prevent wrinkles on small projects is to starch your backing fabric fairly heavily. Also, be sure to pin baste at least every 4" to prevent the backing from shifting as you move the quilt sandwich. I've tried almost every basting method out there and I still find that pin basting is the most secure.

I'll be looking for your hints and tips. I've never been very successful at FM and almost afraid to try. I'm thinking of taking a class some day soon. Glad to hear that your retreat was fun.

I've tried FM quilting on several of my small projects without much success.Would you consider giving a tutorial?? Your retreat sounds like fun. Wish you lived close to me. :)

I do have a starter lesson in my webshots albums. Go to the "Lesson" album and take a look

Annie, I checked out your lessons and saved them to favorites. I'm also going to try starching the heck out of the back of the small quilt I want to try. I had never heard that tip before. thanks Judy
