Anthracite sink - what color faucet?

I am planning on getting a Blanco sink in anthracite color. I have SS appliances & santa cecelia grante. Do you think a SS faucet or oil rubbed bronze would look best?

Cherry cabinets, if that matters!

I love your choice! I'd love to see anyone else's photos with this sink as well. Another question - do you buy the drain with the sink or with the faucet, or seperately?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

    caninetrainer-

Here's a pic of our HD Silgranite knock off sink with chrome f aucet and wood counters. We like high contrast, so went with the black and stainless look.

    Good luck-

Unfortunately, you have to buy the strainer/basket separately. It got mine from Amazon.

We went with stainless, but if I had to replace them, I would probably go with ORB.

I have the stainless faucet with my Blanco anthracite sink with golden lapidus granite. I ordered the drain/basket strainer to match from faucetdirect.com. I will also have stainless appliances. Here's a picture.

Here is the link to the Blanco strainer at Amazon. They had the best price I could find when you take into account the free shipping. You will need a different strainer/basket combo if you have a disposal. One like this I believe http://www.amazon.com/Blanco-BL441095-Silgranit-Coordinated-Anthracite/dp/B0030DFQYE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1268749170&sr=8-3

I have ORB in another house. The ORB sink thing around the drain has scratched terrible. That is one reason I won't be using it with this new house. Has anybody else expierienced this with the drain?

My anthracite drain that is made by Blanco to match the sink looks as new as when it was first installed and I wash all pots, pans by hand. I don't baby the sink or the drain area and both have held up well. I do recommend the sink grid though.

I agree with chris45ny. Definitely get the Blanco drain in anthracite, don't use another brand or you may get the scuffing/scratching that justmejulie has.

Need help, chris45ny or anyone who has suggestion! I have been online looking for Blanco brand stopper/strainer WITH the anthracite drain assembly (for disposal), but descriptions are confusing for online sellers. From what I can tell there are two diff item # 441090, which looks like strainer only, and then #441095 which looks like a stopper/strainer, but neither say that the include the drain assembly (and some online retails say it is the stopper "only". If you ordered your Blanco brand drain assembly and stopper/strainer on line I would love to know where! Thanks!!

PS Love the Lapidus! It is what I am putting in too, you picked a great slab

Couldn't find the blanco brand drain in anthracite on faucet direct??

I got the one I linked to you above (441090 for without a disposal). The basket part that comes with it (that screws into your sink) is what attaches to your pvc drain pipe that your plumber will install. If you have a disposal you need 441095 from what I can tell. Hopefully that helps?

I liked Amazon below, but you can google 441095 and get it from other retailers as well.

leejbryant-Asked DH who installed the basket strainer and he said the drain assembly came with the top removable basket strainer-if that makes any sense? I ordered the Blanco basket strainer in anthracite to match the sink from faucetdirect.com-price was $51.00. Model #441090-I don't have a disposer system. Think model #441095 is if you have disposer. It's $54.00 from faucetdirect.com If you go to faucetdirect.com, click on accessories, then basket strainers, then Blanco, then the anthracite and along the right side of that page it shows the disposer model. I would check some other online sites to see about getting the best price.

It's great to hear that someone else has the lapidus granite. Looking forward to your pictures. Hoping for my kitchen to be finished by Mother's Day!!
