Best Frameless Cabinets?

Remodeling a small kitchen and trying to get everything out of it we can. Going to use frameless cabinets, any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Signature Cabinetry (PA) does them very nicely but very expensive.

We have Dura-Supreme frameless cabinets and I am very happy with them.

IKEA on a budget, Brookhaven midrange (look for a Woodmode dealer). Those were the best available in this area when I was looking, but you probably have more options now

I second the Signature recommendation. We're very happy with our frameless cabinets.

We've used two different lines - Canyon Creek and DeWils. The Canyon Creek cabinets were a very nice mid-range selection. They're one of our top three choices for our upcoming kitchen replacement (will this never end?). Having just installed some DeWils cabinets for a sideboard/buffet - they will not be considered for future cabinet installations.

If you consider Signature, also consider Rutt Regency. They have superior finishing, hand made doors and better customablity. Same price point.

Also, Kountry Kraft, Wayneco, Plato, Sterling- all excellent lines.

    We are putting in Brookhaven
If I had more time, I would have looked at custom but just no time to pull it off.
Many times, custom is about the same price and sometimes less.
Lots of Amish cabinet makers out there!

dseng, why won't you consider DeWils for future installs? I've only heard good things about them - including from fellow GWers - so I'm curious to know why your experience is less than satisfactory.

Not to derail this thread - in response to lisa_a - I simply was not impressed with the quality of DeWils cabinets - plywood delaminations & voids, the doors do not sit perfectly parallel to the cabinets (so that the opening edge sticks out further than the hinge side), and the off gassing has been VERY strong (strange for plywood cabinets). The screw attachment of the drawer faces to the drawer boxes is strange as well - the screws are located tight to the drawer sides, making it very awkward to get a screwdriver in to adjust the drawer face positioning. Their pricing, which may simply have been an issue stemming from our local dealer, was odd as well - all wood species were exactly the same price. So we paid the same for our maple cabinets as quarter sawn oak would have cost. To be fair - they delivered quickly, the cabinets were well protected in shipping, and we got some custom edge profiles on the doors at no additional cost. But...we weren't overly impressed. It was my wife who first said - "Our kitchen cabinets are not coming from DeWils". I'm just the installer guy. ;-) Small details are critical with frameless cabinets as the tolerances are so tight. We just feel that we could have done better. Admittedly - we were working without ever even having SEEN one of DeWils cabinets as our local dealer here in our small Alaskan town didn't have a display. We took a chance, and while satisfied with DeWils, won't opt for them in the future.

FingNugSnug - interesting handle - ours are being put in this week - about 3/4 in and gorgeous! One has a problem but is being replaced. GC noted it and KD already has on order...
    Autumn Cherry with Black glaze!

FingNugSnug, can you post photos? What else did you consider? Price range? Kitchen size?

    Choice 1 Wood Mode DG84
    2 Brookhaven I
    3 Dura Supreme
    No Choice
    Ikea
Frameless can be tricky, as mentioned above, tolerances & other stuff. Be careful and look the displays over in detail.

Wow-there are more choices out there than I thought!
I guess I'll tally up the top three vote getters and start getting some quotes!
    Thank you all very much!!
