Kitchen progress - Pics

Hi Everyone,

I want to thank everyone for your help up to this point. I'm sure I'll probably have lots more questions before this kitchen is finished.

As many of you know I am having a problem with the size of my refrigerator panels. Cabinet dealer ordered the wrong size, he is working with my contractor to correct the problem. He told him to install the panels and trim and if it wasn't deep enough he would pay to either have the wall behind the refrigerator made deeper, or if I wasn't happy he would order the larger panels and new trim pieces to have it redone. Both my contractor and designer feel with my small kitchen it would probably look better to recess the refrigerator a little into the wall, as opposed to making the panels deeper. We'll see.

They're not great pictures, but here's my progress so far.

The cabinets have a narrow rope insert between the moldings that you can't see in the pictures.

Nice! It's changing from a dark cave to a lovely, bright space. I really like your cabinets. What are they?

Thanks, The cabinets are Fieldstone, Shenadoah in Amber.
It's like a natural maple, but has a very light stain on them to even out the wood grain.

I love seeing kitchens in progress! What a huge difference already. Aren't you glad to have that light box off your ceiling?
We built the wall behind the fridge so that the fridge will be recessed back several inches. I can't wait until the fridge gets moved to the new kitchen so I can see if all the measuring came out right.
I can't wait to see your kitchen with all the details done-it will be lovely!

Appliances came today with no problems. Granite template is being done on Monday with an install in two weeks and I talked to the KD and he is coming next week with the contractor to decide on the ref panels. He said it it would be fixed to my satisfaction. He is also ordering me two different doors to replace ones that had a really weird grain in them.

Now I'm off to try to find a backsplash.
