Another backsplash help request

Need some help choosing the appropriate color of backsplash for our kitchen I want it to be clean and modern but not necessarily boring

Right now I have:

Brazilian walnut floors

Walnut base cabinets

Lacquer white upper cabinets

Organic white caesarstone countertops

Any color suggestions? Glass tile?

Thanks for any help!

Two kitchens come to mind... cat mom's and sochi's. One has ... I believe it's Artistic Tiles Ovation run vertically and the other just painted. Both are gorgeous. You can do a search and take a look.

Maybe a white tile, with a modern shape. Like these from Heath.

it sounds like you still have an open palette. So you could go w any color if you wish...

    I like Heath tiles too.
If you are wanting a cozier feel, I'd go with a creamy/tan tile (connecting the floors) or a cleaner more modern look, white like the cabs. or have a bit of fun and go with color... what's your wall paint color?

i think you are in neutral territory at the moment. what's in your inspiration pics?

Our tiles are Artistic Tile's Opera Glass (Stilato pattern). Still love them!

Whoa Boxer! I'm diggin' the black interlocking circles! That could work behind my bathtub in my new master bath. Any idea who makes them?

    Boxerpups,

What's the countertop in the 6th kitchen? that's divine.

    Breezygirl,
The source of the tile is from Stone Impressions.
    http://www.stoneimpressions.com/
I think stone impressions designed the tile but the image
is actually from a magazine. I forgot which.

Saw50, I think it is this...Chivalry Blue Quartz

Ah quartz. I didn't want quartz. Blah!

Thanks for your help though :-)

Hm... In Boxerpups' second posting, that yummy countertop is Chivalry Blue from Vetrazzo and is a recycled glass set in cement matrix. The earlier posting with the vertical blue glass pieces is hard to tell whether that is Chivalry Blue or a quartz product. We have the Floating Blue version in our kitchen. The glass in those countertops really pops when light hits it. :)

I can tell you that the glass backsplash in that first picture is sheet glass for stained glass that has been cut into strips. If you want to do that, I would go for fairly small tiles to avoid breakage issues.

    Thanks Earthpal,

Here is what I have for sources. Maybe they can help you.

The image with the yellow walls and white cabs
was a google image. The source Marblecity CA
    http://www.marblecityca.com/products/242?by=type&q=vetrazzo

The other image said Vetrazzo also a Google image but
    is from
Two Canadian Chics making the world a prettier place
one room a time (Blog: Design Ties)
    http://design-ties.blogspot.com/2009/10/vetrazzo-green-message-in-bottle.html

I wonder if the yellow walled room has different
lighting to make the counter look a slightly different
    shade.

    Hey Boxerpups!

Lighting really does make a difference with the Vetrazzo countertops. Both of those are Vetrazzos as you have indicated. The one that I am not sure on with the glass vertical strips could possibly be from a different recycled glass company, Icestone called Sky Pearl or Denim Moss. Both of those are pretty colors tho I know that some have had mixed luck with this product. Do you have the source information for that picture??

    Thanks!!
