I purchased the Legend 8000, continuous feed, EZ mount (not 3-bolt).

I was having a lot of plumbing done so the plumber installed, but I could have done it easily.

The plumber said the 1-HP could "chew your arm off". My old insinkerator Badger 5Plus was 12 yrs old, rusted inside and out and would plug up from egg shells and coffee grounds. It was useless. The new one is so quiet, powerful, can handle chicken wings (I just had to test it), celery stalks - no problem. Just be sure you are running the water. I turned it on a few times without water and with just a little and thought something was wrong with it as it made a jolting sound when it started. This doesn't happen if you run plenty of water through it.

The unit comes with everything you need both above the sink (pretty Waste King logo, polished chrome sink flange)and below (built-in power cord, too). Be sure to use the paper/cardboard disk when installing. This eliminates resistance on the rubber disk when tightening.

I compared this unit with Insinkerator Badger 5 1/2HP like my old one which was about $80 at HD & Lowes. For $30 more, this highly rated 1-HP sounded like a much better deal. It has stainless steel insides and a Lifetime Warranty. I also like the fact that the reset button is on the front where you can see it, rather than having to find it under the unit. (Not that I've used it)

I have a double sink and purchased a new drain for the side w/o the disposal. If you look on Overstock.com, they sell a Kingston Brass all brass drain that matches the Waste King flange (polished chrome) exactly. It's only $17, whereas my plumbing supply store want's $45 for the same thing.

I really cannot imagine you would find a better deal then this. After reading this thread this morning and doing just a bit of research...I knew I wouldn't. :-)
