My daughter used to make some that contained Provencal flavored goat cheese crumbles and were made with frozen puff pastry. She twisted the corners and added peppercorns on top so that they looked like little crabs when they were baked. Could that be the recipe you are looking for? If so I'll look it up when I get home (at work now) and post it for you.

What were the bundles wrapped in? Puff pastry, a vegetable, phyllo dough?

That's the trouble, I can't remember. It was either frozen phyllo or puff pastry. I think it was kind of sweet like apricot w/it or something? Could be wrong on that. Lindakimy, that's not what I was referring to but they sound cute!
