As a soon-to-be first time homeowner, I was excited to discover this forum for ideas about remodeling my kitchen.

At risk of being eco-trendy, I like the look of horizontal "grain" bamboo.

Does anyone have bamboo cabinets and if so, what are your thoughts? I'd love to hear any experience with sources in the northeast (Boston) especially.

I've seen one source for DIY flatpack cabinets from "Mr Bamboo" in IL, but it's hard to say based on online pictures.
