Need help with bedding

Always in the past I have had my bedding custom made and tailored (partly because we have had an odd sized antique bed) but now it looks like we're going to buy a standard sized queen size bed. Problem is I don't know where to look. I'm thinking about something in neutrals. If I bring in any color it would likely be green or gold. I would like something rich in details and trim and perhaps an ensemble that mixes textures and/or tone on tones. I like a bed that is piled with layers and interesting pillows of varying shapes. I was thinking that maybe if I could find a suitable ready made ensemble then I would have a bedskirt made along with custom drapes so that the whole thing looks like it was made to fit my bed and not just out of a bag. We haven't decided on the wall colors. The furniture will be medium reddish brown cherry in a simple mission style. (I've been looking for a panel bed on another thread.) The window casings will be stained also a medium brown. Other than casegoods the only other furniture will be two brown leather club chairs.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should look? Perhaps online? Is it reasonable to expect to buy this bedding for under $1000? Maybe closer to $600? Or would that get me something of cheap and inferior quality that I would regret later?
