it's time to pick a rug.

not sure what size i should use for the foyer. foyer size is 5' 9" x 8' -5 1/2" eventually i may or may not add a table or bench to the left side. walls will eventually be painted.

i picked out a couple rugs i liked and layed out a blanket for reference. What do you think on the size?

here's the second rug. found this on sale while shopping last night. size is 3' 6" x 5' 6" background is navy blue.

i can get this rug in a 5' 1" x 7' 4" but it would cover almost the entire floor.

anyone have any thoughts on having really dark rugs at an entry? also are entry rugs suppose to be smack up against the door so when you walk in your feet hit the carpet?

my last question is do you like either of these rugs better. my mini chandy is a pewter color and needs to stay so this will come into play too.
