Hi everyone,

Is it safe to assume a house built by Pulte in 1998 is asbestos free? We had a ceramic tile floor removed (basically jack-hammered into thousands of pieces) along with the sheetrock or durarock or whatever is underneath, and new wood floors installed. I noticed a post about asbestos and looked online and found it isn't banned here in the US. We still have some of the tile in place in the mudroom so I could test, but everyone says a 9 year old house would not have it. My concern was upon learning it wasn't banned and that there was dust, etc all over the house! thanks-
