Various 120mph wind building code requirements

Understand that here in southeastern Ct. we're suppose to be in a 120mph wind zone for hurricanes. Even though we're slightly north of Interstate 95,which according to some other info I've read should be a 110mph zone. Hey, at over 100mph either way, I'd rather go with the "safety first" approach. Drawing up the plans for an addition off the second floor. It faces south-towards Long Island sound. Because the ground rises up on one side, I'd like to use a foundation wall for that part, then as ground drops away, use posts on concrete footings. Need hurricane hold downs every six feet in wall framing. And need the "impact resistant" glass windows. What else? Oh, right, increased nailing on sheathing, and frame parts. Anyone have experience with this to recommend things I've missed?

thanks. Ok, right, haven't been to the building inspector yet, and am sure he'll add in what he wants. Don't want to "over engineer" it, just get the really practical important bits.
