Lovely! I know your mom will love it....Teresa

I like the way you handled the quilting. You picked the colors she wanted, too. She's going to be so pleased!

Great job! Guess you figured out the binding!

Thanks all!

Jennifer - I "birthed" it rather than bound it. Much quicker, and less fabric!

Very pretty--nice quilting. Your mom will love it.

Very nice! Your Mom is sure to love it!

And I have the perfect place for it...maybe it's time to make my own!lol

Thanks all!

Carolyn, this one was machine quilted. If it's a small project, I'll do machine. If it's larger, I prefer handquilting.

Very nice, a great gift for your mom. What does "birthed" mean? That is a new team for me. Jayne

It looks great Anjea! And your quilting is wonderful!! Pat on the back from me.

Jayne - birthing a quilt is essentially turning it and topstitching. You baste the top to the batting, and cut the batting to match the edges of the quilt top. Lay the batting/top combo on top of the backing fabric so the top and backing are right sides together. Stitch 1/4" around the perimeter with the batting side up, and leave a hole big enough to turn it right side out when done. Pook out the corners, topstitch 1/4" inside the edges, and whipstitch the hole closed. Quilt as usual.

A walking foot helps tremendously during the whole process, and you have to make sure you do a good job basting it so you don't end up with puckers.

Lovely. Great job on the quilting.Your Mom will be pleased.
