We were at Disney World a few weeks ago and saw some cut pot holders that looked like Mickey Mouse hands. I didn't buy them because they wanted $12/each. They didn't look very difficult to make. I'm still thinking of making them. You can do a search for them and see them. When I did the search, I also saw some other cute patterns.

Rosa, Love that MM potholder! I think I would cut the shape out of the insulated batting first, sew the strips onto it then finish. (You do know I'm trying to put things away, don't you?)....sigh.

A few years ago I recieved a cute potholder that had a pocket and in the pocket were recipe cards, attached to the hanging loop was an aluminum cookie cutter. It was designed to look like a house but anything would work. Jayne

What a very good idea Jayne! Thank you! I am going to try to make a few and attach a small cooking utensil to each. My son is an excellent cook and I always try to give them a gift card to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's for occasions ~ a potholder is perfect & will be easy to attach a small gift card pocket.
