We are having an addtional room built onto our existing home. The foundation and framing are done and most of the plywood is on the outside. We changed one of the 5 windows after the fact (I know!!) It is the only window on the back wall of the room The contractor said the window I found (and the price I found it at) will take 4 weeks to come in and all work will have to stop until the windows are in. Unless we pay an additional $475 for an in stock window. FTR they are only doing all the exterior work on this project, dh is doing all the interior.

Is this really true that NO other work could be done until that one window is in?? I would think it would be the same as doing a replacement window after the fact. Just wondering as I do trust my contractor but the wording of his email just raised my hackels a bit. Thanks for your input!!
