Dream decorating

Well, I can't get this stuff until I have a job and rent is paid up for a few months, etc. but I can have fun dreaming, can't I? I found a small chandelier I like for the dining room. (in real life it is 17" tall and 14 1/2 wide. My pasted size might be bigger than it would be IRL.) It's a swag and plugs into the wall. But there is a light in the wrong place on the ceiling. But I thought as a solution, I would get some cream sheer fabric and drape it from the new chandelier hook to the nearest soffit. I would drape the fabric to hide the ceiling light fixture. I think I would have one piece of material coming forward to soffit and another going to soffit that is 2/3 of the way into the room. I think staples could hold up the material.

I also found an area rug (9'x13") at homedecorators.com. Do they have real stores or just the online thing? Home Depot bought them, right? It would be really cool if I got a Home Depot discount if I get the cabinet refacing job I had interviewed for. A discount would rock. So anyway, I did some Photoshop virtual dream decorating today. Now just imagine the softly draped fabric across the ceiling. The ceiling fixture cannot be seen in this dream. The table is 8.5' long. What do you think?
