I use Harvey all the time. They are one of the best window manufacturers out there.

You just can't beat their price, energy efficiency and warranties.

Lifetime on everything but the glass. Glass is warranted for 20 years.

Your quoted prices seem reasonable.

Here is a link that might be useful: Harvey Industries

Harvey has a warehouse and showroom near my house. They only sell to contractors. I just picked out two windows and my contractor says he used them in his own home.

The double hung version of this window has the common vinyl window design proportion of the upper sash glass being an inch narrower than the lower sash glass. That and a rather wide perimeter frame make it's appearance unacceptable to me.

Are you sure about that? Their price is easy to beat or match. Their energy efficiency is poor in comparison to other companies. Most vinyl window manufacturers provide a full lifetime warranty on seal failure. They offer a weak 20 year warranty. That says a lot about their lack of confidence in their IG units.

Classic DH has air infiltration rating of .14. Nothing to brag about. Classic has a U Factor of .33. A U Factor of .25 is most common among LowE/Argon IG units.

Warranty is weak. They do not pay for labor to install defective parts. I know of 3 vinyl window manufacturers that pay for labor to replace parts for the first 3 years. After that, it's prorated.

So, not so hard to beat that one.

Before you buy them, ask them for their seal failure rates since 97. And remember, when a seal fails, you'll have to pay to have the IG unit removed and reinstalled. About $75 in northern Ohio.
