Hardware-interior doors

We are replacing some interior doors during our kitchen remodel. Two are adjacent to the kitchen, others are not "near" the kitchen, but our home is small.

Do the finishes on the door hardware have to match? What looks best?

We will have a pretty big kitchen with white cabinets, stainless farmhouse sink, stainless trim on oven, and nothing else picked yet. Our other appliances will not be stainless. I would really, really like to put an oil-rubbed bronze chandelier on the far end of the kitchen, over a table.

The entry is on the other end. We would also like to put oil-rubbed bronze flush ceiling light fixture there.

Our contractor ordered the interior doors with brass hardware, but they're not yet up & hardware can be changed for a price. He did install the doors adjacent to the kitchen already with brass hardware/knobs, and they probably can't be changed.

I am open as to cabinet pulls and pendant light hardware, but had envisioned silvery (chrome or satin nickel) OR oil rubbed bronze.

I can still make changes, so I'd rather deal with it now if it's a problem.

I initially liked the look of silver (chrome or nickel) pulls in kitchen, but now love the ORB chandelier for far end. On other interior doors in house, I just don't know, but have to decide. I don't really like the silvery handles for bedroom/interior doors.

Any ideas? I have to decide this weekend:

*kitchen counters, so I can pick a...

*paint color

*interior doors

Thanks for any ideas!
