I recently got to use my mother-in-law's Singer Fashion Mate 239 sewing machine. I had to sew something for my son and noticed that the belt on the sewing machine was either the incorrect one or just very stretched out (it actually has cracks in the belt). At times, I'd press the foot pedal to sew and the belt didn't "catch". Other than that, the sewing machine is very nicely built...all metal...made in Italy even. Does anyone know of a website or other source for a new belt?
