For the pattern/instructions, Husqvarna had them on their web site and was demonstrated on the PBS show they sponsor, America Sews. There are several variations at web sites, all using purchased towels.

For cotton terry, use a regular size 14 needle and about a 3 stitch--be prepared to finish seams and have a lot of lint when sewing. If you use a terry knit, use a ball point needle and about the same length stitch...the benefit there is that knit doesn't shed and ravel like cotton terry.

First choose good cotton terry cloth, and if you use ribbon be sure to use a jacquard ribbon as it sews better into the cotton. Then purchase one large towel and then a matching small towel for the hood. Sew the hood in a way so that it is rounded, not pointed, a good example is at towelhoodies.com hooded towels - check it out and feel free to email them for advice

I have one that my daughter made and I would dig it out if anyone is needing a pattern.. She made a couple for a lady at her work. She used a navy blue towel with a red wash cloth on them. She then used a red print and put their letter of their first name on the back. The letter was large. They were a hit with everyone. If she had had the time she could have made a mint in making them.

Now, that is just the coolest thing I've seen! Looks like it's a short version of a caftan with a hood.
