Need advice quickly!

Help - have to decide by 11 a.m. central today! ;)

I'm getting Sears' counter-depth refridgerator and freezer but they're separate units (about 18 cu ft each). Usually they're put side by side for a built-in look, but they always show them with a trim kit that makes them look built in.

I don't particularly want the trim kit but will it look funny without it?

I've got to know this morning because I'm doing final kitchen cabinet planning and they'll want an exact measurement.

I think you need the trim kit; it's what makes it look built in, quite frankly. We are installing an Electrolux Icon Professional FD counter depth fridge and ordered the trim kit because we wanted that built in look.

I think that's an easy one:
If you want it to look built in, you need the trim kit.
If you want it to look like every other fridge stuck in there, don't buy the trim kit.

These are beautiful. I'd pick it up. You could always install them, decide how it looks, and if you like it, send the trim kit back. If you don't, you've got the kit to put on.

Thank you both for your advice. I have to decide by today because the cabinets are being decided for ABOVE the units, and so the size would be determined by trim/no trim.

Any other thoughts?
