Suz, taking your own machine to class is pretty standard. If you're taking the class at a sewing machine dealership, ask if you can use one of their machines. They sometimes have "classroom" machines available. Your's is not an unusual situation and dealers are able to accomodate. Or, if you would like to bring your own, ask if they would help bring it in from the car for you. Again, dealers are used to helping their customers. If you plan on taking more classes you could find a lightweight "travel" machine. That's what I did, as I prefer not to take my expensive machine out of the house. There are many rolling cases available, I bought a "Tutto", it's very sturdy and has lots of peripheral storage space. Though on the expensive side, but worth it, it's even approved to take as carry on for airplane travel. HTH, Todd

I used a fold up luggage carrier the kind you set your suitcases on. But then had to lift to table. When I'd put it in the car I'd put it on the front car seat. Then I'd just hold it and lean it down to the carrier. picking it up to the car seat is a litle different Sometimes you can get someone to help at the class. I forgot I had an old kitchen cart that was waist high and I'd slide the machine off the table onto it and then wheel that out to the car.but then would have to take the cart back into the house
