I love that color too! It's so summery and looks fabulous with a tan. It's funny cause I hung onto this vacation T I found at my house that color just because it was SO pretty.
No idea where it came from and it was like an extra small size...too small for me. But OMG it was that fabulous bright orange mango/melon color to die for.

Hi, Do you live in New York? I live just east of Los Angeles and have always heard that LA's garment district is second only to New York's. Right near the garment district, there's a large fabric salvage area. I think that type of fabric would show up in this area. Here are photos of fabrics, etc., from our area swap meets and the downtown fabric area. Hope that helps. Linda

Oh, how I wish I lived close enough to a big city to do real fabric shopping. I live in a smallish city (under 100,000 population), and in the 15 years I have lived here we have gone from 3 major fabric stores to 1 Joann store. Actually a Hancock fabrics opened a couple of years ago, but they are going out of business here. I have pretty much given up on finding fashion fabric. The selection at Joann is pretty much fleece or calico, plus bridal and prom type fabrics. I found a really cute pattern for a faux wrap dress that I would love to make but cannot find appropriate fabric, despite the fact that the malls are full of ready made dresses in the types of fabrics that I would love to buy.

Hi, If you have thrift stores, swap meets, tag and yard sales in your area, you have access to those fabrics in ready made clothing. I've picked up lots of clothing over the years made from nice fabrics. Ebay could be a good fabric source. Most manufacturers have fabrics made to order, so those fabrics will never show up at the fabric stores. Sheets and other textiles come in a wide variety of prints and are mostly good quality fabrics. You can mix fabrics on any garment, so you may not need a lot of one kind on any project. When you look around, you'll probably have good luck. You might even have good luck in your own closet, lol. Hope that helps. Linda

I'm still looking everytime I see fabrics for sale. Unfortunately, I see mostly cottons these days.
