I have the same problem,i sometimes add a band to the bottom,especially if it's a knit.

I always tell my friends with small boobs to be thankful for what they have.Having too much can be a royal pain in the patooty.

There's a collar I'm working with and there is just one little step that has me baffled.

As a result, I'm considering ditching this pattern. I'll try for a little longer and then I'm going to shelf it if I can't figure it out.

Yep, sure have more than once. And yes, I am large on the top too.
Why can't they make patterns for normal size folks with large chests.

Sometimes patterns just aren't very good. The IDEA may have been good, the DRAWING on the front is good, but the actuality of the garment just doesn't work either because the sizing is off, or because what draped well in someone's design studio doesn't make up in a pattern. I've got one of those in the UFO bin right now. I went back to the store and bought another yard of the fabric, and a different pattern. I'll rework the blouse with different sleeves, front and neckline. I'm chucking the original pattern. Total dud. Live and learn!

I'm not sure you ever solved your problem but here are 2 suggetions if you haven't.

1. Make a top with a high waist, this way you can control what is under your bust a bit better.........AND/OR

2. Put verticle darts under the bust, this will close in the bottom area to be a bit more fitting.

I can't tell you how many things I just never finished for one reason or another. Goes with the territory :)
