I have searched the web incessantly for even a copy I could buy and no luck BTW. =-)

Are you sure you have the correct one for your machine. Sometimes if it says "fits all Kenmore machines" it isn't telling the truth. Perhaps your machine has a different shank... my best advice would be to take it and the machine back to where you purchased the foot and ask them for help. You don't want to screw things up and find you wreck your timing or something. Does your needle work fine otherwise......change the needle with a new one and see if that works. I'm grasping at straws here but this is what I'd do if I had the same problem.

I found my instructions.
"1.Raise the needle and the presser foot. 2. Loosen the thumb screw on the foot holder and remove it. 3. Attach the walking foot to the presser bar with the lever above the needle clamp, secure it with the thumb screw. Operate the machine at low to medium speed. Set the stitch length in the range of 0 - 4."

I have found you can't zig zag with the walking foot. Also make sure your needle is in the center position.

I just had a similar problem w/ my Brother machine. The fork that goes over the needle screw kept popping off. I asked the lady at my repair shop if she had any idea what was wrong with it, and she'd never heard of it. She sold me a new foot (huge bargain - they were getting ready to move!) and it did the same thing.

A couple of weeks later I decided to try again to figure out what was wrong. This time I looked CLOSELY at the picture in the manual, and actually READ the directions (skipped those important steps earlier LOL!) and I was putting the screw in the wrong side! The foot was hitting the screw that was in the wrong place.
