Hi, I hope you don't mind a lurker question about placemats. I don't do much sewing besides quilting, but I want to branch out. I have some leftover drapery fabric that I want to make into placemats. I want to put a decorative stitch around the edge. Because of the bulk, do you think a 1/4 inch seam would be wide enough? I just don't want the bulk to interfere with the decorative stitching. I'd appreciate any feedback or tips...
